Dr. Macdalie St-Preux, Presiding Dentist

Dr. S, a native of Haiti, gained her Doctor in Dental Medicine from Nova University in 2002.  She began her career with Florida Community Health Center. After two years, she held her own practice in Delray Beach for 12 years before becoming a full-time mom. She returned to community practice with Little Lights Dentistry in 2018. Her vast experience and clinical leadership allows us to offer a comprehensive treatment plan involving exams, cavity fills, extractions, root-canals, and conscious sedation.  She speaks English, Spanish, French, and Creole. Monica Gonzalez, Dental Hygienist

Monica Gonzalez

Monica, a native of Peru, is a foreign trained dentist and uses those skills to specialize as a hygienist with Little Lights Dentistry. In Peru, she practiced general dentistry for two years. She has worked as a hygienist at a pediatric dental clinic in Boca Raton, a periodontal office in Juno Beach, and a general dentistry office in Stuart before hiring with Little Lights Dentistry in 2018. Janel Torres, Dental Assistant

Janel Torres

Janel has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Treasure Coast Ear, Nose, and Throat receptionist. She graduated from the Dental Assisting Academy of the Palm Beaches with her EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary) certification in 2017. She is also a licensed radiographer. Janel has the longest tenure with Light of the World, since starting in May of 2017. She speaks English and Spanish. She enjoys spending time with family and her email is janel@lotwc.us.

Maria Valdez

Maria Valdez, Dental Coordinator

Maria is a true local and was born in Stuart. She holds a Bachelors in Exercise Science and Health Promotions and a minor in Spanish. After, she worked as an Assistant Manager at Sherwin Williams. She was employed with St. Joseph Catholic School and helped with web-site maintenance, marketing, and outreach. She is presently on staff part-time as Parish Assistant for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Maria speaks English and Spanish and her email is mvaldez@lotwc.us.

Lori Sang

Lori Sang, Chief Funding Officer

Lori has served as the Early Steps Program Coordinator for St. Mary’s Medical Center, as well as Director for the Treasure Coast Early Step and Easter Seals program. Additionally, she was the Director of Operations for the Principle Personnel Group. She holds a Bachelor’s in Community Health Education and a Masters in Exceptional Student Education. She works as a coach for Weight-Watchers in Stuart, and she enjoys traveling and cooking. She’s at lsang@lotwc.us

Tim Arthur, Executive Director

Tim Arthur

Tim was born in Miami. After 4 years with the USAF, Tim worked 17 years with IBM and another 17 with SAS Institute. He gained his bachelor’s in Professional Management from Nova University and master’s in Management of Technology from GaTech. He retired in 2016 from SAS as their first R&D Distinguished Program Manager & Agile champion. He and his wife Teresia began volunteering with Light of the World shortly thereafter and that led to an invitation to join the board. He transitioned in as the Executive Director when our then-ED announced her job placement in SC. Tim enjoys biking, hiking, paddle-boarding, and kayaking. You can reach him at tarthur@lotwc.us.
